Ethiopia: Chicken Houses are Hatching

The walls of the new chicken hatchery (laying house, chick house and rooster house) at the Bright Hope School in Ethiopia were nearing six feet high last week. The pillars and columns will soon be added so that the roofing can be added. This will be followed by the wiring for the lights and ventilation which will be through the front upper wall. The next step is furnishing the chicken house (Lazy-boys for Poultry) and getting in the chickens. Meanwhile, the clearing and plowing of the two vegetable garden plots will begin soon.

If you haven’t seen it in the past, you can go to this link to read more about this self sustaining nutritional project for this large elementary school that is located in an Addis Ababa community of people suffering from leprosy and AIDS.

With your prayers and support, the kids of Bright Hope School will soon be eating fresh vegetables, eggs and chicken for lunch.
